IMS produces a unique PGA TOUR event which is the only PGA TOUR tournament that allows amateur golfers to play against PGA TOUR legends with the benefit of their handicap, in match play and have it broadcast on National television. Will it be YOU?
The 6th Annual 2009 People vs. the Pros Ultimate Pro-Am Championship, will be held once again at the world class Pinehurst Resort, October 23-27, 2009. Amateur golfers will have the ultimate wish fulfillment of playing aginst Fred Couples or Nick Faldo.
The tournament is separated into two age divisions – 18 to 49 and 50 and over, in a 54-hole finals tournament from October 24-27, 2009, following a practice round on October 23, 2009. The tournament will be flighted competition with a 2-hole playoff of the flight winners in each age group. The ultimate shoot-out winners in each age division will battle Major Champions Fred Couples (18-49 Division) and Nick Faldo (50+ Division), with benefit of their handicap, in the Championship matches on October 27th, 2009. These final matches will be televised in the U.S. on ESPN2 from 12 noon to 2 P.M. EST, December 27th, 2009. Each winner will designate $50,000 to be donated to the charity of choice.
