Instinct Software Ltd Overview

Instinct Software Ltd is a new indie video games company based in Donegal, Ireland. Instinct Software was built on the desire of founder members of Instinct Technology Ltd and Dark Water Studios Ltd to exploit their experience over the last decade to take advantage of the emergence of digital distribution on PC and consoles, and the increasing capability of handheld (smart-phone/tablet) devices. The Intellectual Property Rights of Instinct Technology Ltd were secured in July 2011, including that of the Instinct Engine, along with a new focus on extending support to handheld devices as well as consoles. Several game rights were secured from Dark Water Studios in January 2012, including that of indie hit DogFighter. This completed the acquisition of the IPR produced by both companies over a 10 year period. Instinct Software are currently adding Max OS X support to Instinct Engine, and plan to release a Mac version of DogFighter in the coming months.
