Instituto Buena Bista (IBB) THE center for contemporary art on the island of Curaçao. Established in 2006 by visionary artists, Tirzo Martha and David Bade, IBB provides a foundational platform for art and art education in our community. As a certified institution, we prepare (young) talents for further education at art academies and creative institutions worldwide.
We emphasize the importance of these young artists returning to Curaçao to share the knowledge and experiences they have gained abroad, fostering a dynamic and evolving local art community.
Through our social projects and the collaborative All You Can Art initiative with Kunsthal Rotterdam, we foster international and community engagement in contemporary art.
To enrich the experiences of our students and workshop participants, we invite visual artists from around the globe to Curaçao. These artists bring fresh perspectives – 'Buena Bista's' – to our vibrant arts scene.
