The Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology (IFB UG & MUG), established in 1993, is a joint university faculty of University of Gdansk and Medical University of Gdansk (Poland). Interdisciplinary research at IFB UG&MUG covers medical biology, molecular biology as well as biotechnology for health and life quality, in particular research into chaperone proteins, protein folding, biogenesis and degradation of protein complexes, DNA replication and stress protection, molecular virology, molecular research into bacterial plant pathogens, research into plant lipid metabolism, research on recombinant vaccines for humans and animals, research into the genesis, growth and metastases of neoplasm and on new diagnostic and therapeutic methods, research on photodynamic therapy.
We are interested in long-term partnerships with industrial partners in order to collaborate in frame of research projects and commercialization of research results.
