Interreg Austria- Czechia 2021-2027 is an EU funding programme implemented within the framework of the European Union's (EU) cohesion policy under the "European Territorial Cooperation" (ETC) objective. The main purpose of the programme is to promote the harmonious economic, social and territorial development of the Union as a whole. Interreg is an instrument to support co-operation between regions and countries - it is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The programme aims to solve common challenges of the border region and utilise untapped growth potential, and at the same time to strengthen the process of cooperation and mutual understanding.
