InvestorProspector began in 2011 when our cofounder was Prospecting the sale of an equity position he had acquired in a successful restaurant chain in Austin, Texas. Due to a lack of liquidity brought on by market conditions, he found it very difficult to sell his minority ownership interest. But, he knew that there was an entire country filled with everyone from ordinary individual investors to billion dollar venture capital firms desperately searching for high yield investments. It became apparent that in order to find a buyer for the shares, he would have to look outside his personal network to find an Investor. So, the need arose to get the word out that shares of the restaurant chain were available for any Investor looking for a fantastic opportunity to purchase a part of a quickly growing company and reap the benefits. Now, the question remained of how to make this investment opportunity available to everyone in the U.S.
