As part of its overarching strategic plan, the Malta FA plans to reorganise football at youth and grassroots level. A major pillar in doing this will be through ‘Inħobb il-Futbol’ Foundation, the Association’s football development arm.
The slogan ‘Inħobb il-Futbol’ was originally adopted by Fr Hilary Tagliaferro for his brainchild football grassroots programme which became a milestone for Maltese sport. Its objective was to give the opportunity to as many children as possible to develop through football and in so doing becoming also better players.
In the same vein, the Foundation seeks to adapt these values for today’s realities, both at the technical and also the social level.
