IPaDiC is founded with the purpose to develop a state of the art implantable insulin pump and to market it. The pump is aimed to replace the existing technology that is outdated and may be taken off the market in the near future.
Currently the company had developed working prototypes and is seeking additional funding for pre clinical testing and onwards
An implantable insulin pump is a last resort solution for diabetics that can't be treated with insulin subcutanely.
The long term objective of IPaDiC to improve / offer quality of life to insulin dependent diabetics who are in need of of a pump as a solution to the problems with the traditional subcutane treatment. This implantable pump will also substantially reduce costs of medical treatment and care for instance due to a reduction hospital visits.
