The Insurance Surveyors Discussion Group was established in Sydney in 1970 and became an Incorporated Association in February 2008. The ISDG meets regularly for lunch time meetings on the second Thursday of most months. Topic experts from relevant industries are invited to give a presentation on various issues or topics at these meetings. The meetings are designed to provide a forum where insurance risk control surveyors, risk engineers, underwriters, brokers and others with similar professional interests can keep abreast of the latest developments, regulations, technology and trends related to their work, as well as provide a networking opportunity. Insurance surveyors conduct inspections of commercial and industrial premises to assess risk and hazards and provide advice to prevent losses occurring. Visitors are most welcome.
