The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), known colloquially as the Hare Krishna movement or Hare Krishnas, is a Gaudiya Vaishnava religious organisation. ISKCON was founded in 1966 in New York City by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
ISKCON has been active in the Attapur area for more than 3 years and has been conducting various programs based on the Vedic scriptures along with performing regular nagar sankirtan, chanting the Holy Names of the Lord. The Attapur center has been very active during the pandemic by distributing hundreds of free meals to the needy on a daily basis as part of its Food for Life Annadaan program.
