I Stretch My Hand (ISMH) is a Canadian non-profit dedicated to educating, empowering, and transforming the lives of young people across Canada and Africa. We are a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) (Charity Number: 70477 0536 RR0001) and recognized as a 501(c)(3) public charity in the USA (EIN: 98-1747402). Our mission is simple yet powerful: to bridge opportunities for youth and create a future where education and empowerment unlock potential. Our Core Programs: ✅ High School Scholarship Program – In Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya, we provide a 3-year scholarship to primary school (Junior High School) graduates from the South Sudanese Naath community, enabling them to attend any high school in Kenya for which they qualify to get admitted. Our primary objective is to remove financial barriers that hinder access to quality education. By covering expenses such as tuition fees, student allowances, school materials, transportation costs, and other educational necessities, we enable talented students to pursue higher education ✅ Mentorship Program – We connect young people with professionals and community leaders who guide, inspire, and equip them with skills for academic and personal success. Mentorship sessions focus on career readiness, leadership, and personal development. ✅ Naath Award Program – We recognize and celebrate top-performing students in national exams (KCSE for High School and KCPE for Primary School) to encourage academic excellence within the community. ✅ Naath Education Fund Initiative (NEFI) – A community-driven funding model where members of our community, through collaboration with the churches, contribute annually to sustain scholarships and other educational programs for our community.
