Isibalo Young African Statisticians Association of Kenya (IYASA Kenya) is a professional association of young statisticians, data analysts and other researchers registered in Kenya on September 27, 2019. We have members drawn from various statistics application fields and interests including young statisticians, consumers and producers of statistics, either in applied or theoretical statistical fields. We are open to membership across Kenya and beyond. Professionalism is at the core of what we do and make us who we are. Our key focus is advocacy and enhancement of statistics and data usability in the society. We work and collaborate to ensure that research, policy formulation, mentorship and decision making are informed by evidence for the public good. Everything we do is guided by putting data at the heart of research and decision making.
Our mission is to develop, train and mentor young statisticians in statistical development, research and leadership in Kenya and beyond
