We are business & management advisors for small and mid-size law firms. Our business began by helping stressed-out managing partners offload to us their firm's business issues. Each partner had a significant practice and enviable expertise, billed out at a premium hourly rate, and worked hard at rainmaking. Their challenge was keeping these critical balls in the air, while trying to run the business that was their law firm. J&A stepped in and allowed these managing partners to get back to what they do best and enjoy the most - practicing law. A resource for firms at every stage J&A's involvement presents the opportunity for partners to consider - many for the first time - business planning, growth or exit and succession strategies, and expansion options. Other firms are challenged by partner compensation, partner consensus, and firm ownership issues. And almost all firms are challenged by he day to day operations that running a firm presents. Our goal is to be a resource for our clients at every step of their business cycle. J&A helps your firm's management handle the issues - whether mundane or exciting - that emerge during the life of your business. As a part of your team, we understand your firm's unique situation and the personalities involved. We zero in on the issues, create the solutions, and get it done. Who do we work with? Our clients are new firms just starting out, mature firms with 35+ years in business, and everything in between. We work with solo practitioners and firms with more than 40 attorneys; however, our work predominately focuses on firms with 3 to 18 attorneys. The issues they face are often similar, but because they are unique enterprises, off-the-shelf solutions rarely fit. J&A understands the issues, has the solutions, and helps firms successfully move forward.
