Jack’s Solar Garden will install a 1.2 MW DC community solar garden on family-owned property in Boulder County. We endeavor to be a community-based social enterprise by providing clean energy into the Xcel Energy grid, collaborating with academics and researchers to study the co-location of agricultural activities and solar energy production (agrivoltaics), teaching our community about the possibilities of community solar gardens, showcasing Boulder County art, planting a large pollinator habitat for local bees to forage, and donating electricity bill credits to select low-income households in Boulder County. Our strategy is to derive the most communal good as possible from our land that also facilitates the rejuvenation of the Kominek’s family farm at 8102 North 95th St.
