The Jackson County Democratic Committee is a 94 person committee composed of committeemen and committeewomen who are elected during the primary election (August) of general election years to represent the wards and townships that compose Jackson County and Kansas City. Filing is at the Jackson County Courthouse and generally opens in late February. The filing fee is $25.00 payable to the county committee and you must be a dues paying member of the Missouri Democratic Party ($35.00). You must be a registered voter and living at your residence for a year to be eligible to serve on the County Committee.
