AGRO MALI/JAMANAKASENE Overview

JAMANAKASENE is an innovative company that is revolutionizing agriculture in Mali and West Africa, focusing on empowering female farmers and improving the productivity of smallholder farms. Since its establishment in 2022, we have facilitated access to quality agricultural inputs through a progressive and mobile payment system. This system allows farmers to save gradually to purchase certified seeds, organic fertilizers, and modern equipment tailored to their needs. We also offer advance financing, allowing farmers to access these agricultural resources immediately, even before they have the full amount available. This credit option helps overcome financial constraints and ensures a steady supply of inputs, which is crucial for good agricultural yields. In 2022, we started with 160 smallholder farmers, and by 2024, we have expanded our impact to 1,135 farmers, 95% of whom are women. Our goal is to help each farmer increase their yields and earn an average of $855 per year, thereby strengthening their economic independence and food security. With an ambitious vision for the future, we aim to support 5 million farmers by 2055, enhancing the resilience of communities in the face of climate and economic challenges across West Africa. Through our sustainable and inclusive approach, we are working to lift smallholder farmers out of poverty and build a prosperous and resilient agricultural future for the region.
