The focus is on developing the whole child — his or her social skills, emotional growth, physical coordination, and cognitive abilities. We believe that self-sufficiency is the crucial building block that underlies a child’s experiences of pleasure and self-worth. To foster independence, our prepared environments and materials are designed to allow children to explore and learn “by hands-on,” while extended periods of “work time” learning at their own pace encourage children to follow their interests.
