The genesis of Jeans manufacturing Company Ltd (JMCL) can be traced back to 1977, at time when the garment sector in Bangladesh was in its embryonic stage, rife with bureaucratic red tape, and reluctant banks unwilling to invest in this sector. Against such steep odds, Mr. Anwar Rahim (1933 - 1995) took the bold decision of venturing into a completely unknown terrain and started a small factory in the heart of Dhaka City. So now, JMCL is a leading woven factory, specialized mainly in 5-
pocket’s/Cargo’s/Chino’s in Denim, 100% Cotton Twills, Canvas, Ribstop Etc. and also Jackets. We are producing approximately around 13500 pcs per day. We also have a sister concern laundry.
