The Jewish Faculty Resilience Group (JFrg) at UCLA is a community of faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and staff, both Jewish and non-Jewish, dedicated to supporting the Jewish community on campus. Our non-partisan organization embraces diverse political perspectives, united in our mission to strengthen the Jewish community, build allyship, and counter antisemitism at UCLA.
Human life is precious. We believe in peace and coexistence, mourning the suffering and loss of innocent civilians, including both Israelis and Palestinians.
OUR MISSION:
Combat Antisemitism: Effectively identify and counter antisemitism at UCLA.
Support Wellbeing: Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of Jewish faculty, staff, students, and allies..
Promote Authenticity: Advocate for accurate representations of Jewish history, culture, and identity.
We stand firmly for core American and democratic values, rejecting violence, embracing free speech, civil discourse, the rule of law.
Champion Zionism: Support the Jewish people's right to self-determination and a sovereign country in their ancestral homeland, the State of Israel.
Advocate for Inclusivity: Recommend solutions to make UCLA a welcoming, safe environment for all, including Jews.
Take Action: Respond appropriately when antisemitism is not addressed seriously.
