The Research Deans’ Office of JGLS (RDO) was created by the JGU Vice Chancellor in September 2019 in order to build upon the already strong foundations of undergraduate education in JGLS to further enhance and catalyse the law school’s contribution to quality international research and the archive of knowledge. As a premier law school of India and South Asia, many faculty members of JGLS are already accomplished national and international researchers whose works have been cited widely by academics, policy makers as well as the Supreme Court of India in some of its landmark judgements. The office seeks to harness, synergize and foster both individual as well as collaborative faculty research in legal and interdisciplinary areas by organising and facilitating regular faculty research seminars, workshops, book discussions, colloquiums, research retreats and visiting scholars’ programs.
