Hey there! A warm welcome to the page for the Justice Health Research Program (JHRP). We're part of the School of Population Health at UNSW in Sydney, Australia. Here at JHRP we prioritise applied research at the nexus of the health and justice systems. We work with a truly diverse range of people with lived experience of the justice system, including victims of crime, incarcerated adults, justice-involved young people and people reintegrating back into the community.
Our team of 15+ researchers and students hold a breadth of interdisciplinary expertise but, critically, we’re brought together by our collective mission to produce world class knowledge and develop practical interventions to tackle the social determinants of crime, prevent incarceration, and improve health, justice and welfare outcomes for those in contact with the justice system.
