'An attempt to put into practice, sincerely, without compromise, the economic ideals of John Ruskin, Leo Tolstoy, and Mahātmā Gāndhī'. As initial projects we have undertaken the development of a private printing press, along the lines of William Morris's Kelmscott Press; the construction of the manufactory’s premises, ‘Devanagrī’, using traditional lime and brick; the promotion of Hindī, or Hindustānī, as the language of everyday use amongst the people of Hindustān, carried about under the name of ‘Hindī Are We.’, or in its original Hindustānī, ‘Hindī Haiṃ Ham’; and, most recently, the cataloguing of all the very many trees of New Delhi. We are now foraying into homeware, fine and handcrafted. We're determined to do no less than transform Our India with beauty.
