A friendly, local broker with over 30 years’ experience, specialising in insurance and risk management solutions for SMEs, from sole traders to small corporates as well as protection for private clients. We are an extremely close-knit team and have worked together for many years. Our door is always open and we regard many of our clients as friends, who are always welcome to call in for a cup of coffee.
We offer additional business services, including Claims Loss Recovery, Commercial Finance, Health & Safety and Employment Consultancy. We also provide bespoke policies for private clients including watercraft and equine insurance.
Johnstone Insurance Brokers Ltd was formed in 2006, although the business itself commenced in 1983 when it was set up by Roger Johnstone.
The business flourished and was joined in 1985 by current Managing Director, Chris Harper who
became a partner in 1988. Mark Broome, followed in 1997 becoming a partner 5 years later. Mike Williams joined the company in 2003 and became a director when the new company was formed in 2006.
In 2001, the company moved to new premises on Dunstall Street, where it remains today, and in 2002, joined the Willis Commercial Network, allowing continued independence, while enjoying the security and ‘clout’ of a global organisation.
In 2006, Roger Johnstone retired and a Management Buyout was effected, ensuring that Roger’s legacy remained in the hands of likeminded people, and ensuring continuity for both staff and clients.
