Stichting Join Us Overview

Wist je dat ruim 450.000 jongeren zich sterk eenzaam voelen? Join Us werd in 2018 opgericht door Jolanda van Gerwe, toen zij als hulpverlener zag dat er nog maar weinig oplossingen waren voor dat probleem. Inmiddels is Join Us uitgegroeid tot een unieke landelijke organisatie, die eenzaamheid bij jongeren aankaart en aanpakt. Dat aankaarten doen we door het thema op belangrijke agenda’s te zetten, campagne te voeren en de pers op te zoeken. Dat doen we samen met partners en ambassadeurs, zoals Odido Nederland, Typhoon en Irene Moors. Eenzaamheid aanpakken doen we met een uniek eigen programma en in een online community. We brengen jongeren van 12 tot 30 jaar samen én helpen hen sociaal sterker te worden. Onder de vlag van Join Us werken meer dan honderd jeugdprofessionals door het hele land. De regie ligt bij een hecht team van veertien experts vanuit Den Bosch. In 2024 won Join Us een Appeltje van Oranje. Deze jaarlijkse prijs, uitgereikt door het Oranje Fonds, eert initiatieven die een bijzondere maatschappelijke bijdrage leveren.
