A little background on local educator Dana Herzberg, M.Ed., and how JGS and OTT came to be:
Knowing first-hand the impact that one-on-one tutoring can have on a student’s life, Dana first established On-Track Tutoring in 1999. Over time, through her classroom teaching, tutoring, and mentoring experience, Dana recognized the need for more appropriate schools in the metro Phoenix area that cater to high-potential students with learning differences, especially those considered twice-exceptional (2e)—students who are intellectually gifted in addition to having learning difficulties. In 2010, Dana and her team founded The Jones-Gordon School (then called On-Track Academy) in order to fill the need for an educational environment dedicated to these diverse learners.
