Jorgeson Pittman LLP is an Austin based Family Law, Fertility Law, and Estate Planning law firm, with additional focuses on LGBT Focused Family Law and LGBT-based Immigration Law. Jorgeson Pittman LLP has represented hundreds of clients in Family Law cases, from contested divorces and child custody disputes, to agreed parenting agreements and limited scope representation when appropriate. The firm has represented clients in over a dozen Texas Counties, mostly focused on the Central Texas and Texas Hill Country areas, but with a statewide reach as necessary. The firm has additional experience in Fertility Law. Partner and Founder Leigh Jorgeson has represented married couples and individuals in various legal aspects of the assisted reproduction process, including gestational carrier agreements, egg donation agreements, embryo donation agreements, and related legal proceedings. Ian Pittman, Robert Vela and Colin Gaffney are members of the Travis County Court-Appointed Family Advocates (CAFA), and represent both parents and children involved in CPS cases in Travis County. Members of the Firm have served on the board of the Austin Bar Association's CAFA Section since 2012. The firm also focuses on family law cases involving non-traditional families, including same-sex partnership dissolutions, second-parent adoptions, and same-sex child custody cases. Robert Vela has served on the board of Polari, a LGBT public service group that hosts the annual Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival (AGLIFF) since 2013, and served on the board of the LGBT Section of the Austin Bar Association since 2014. The firm also has obtained marriage based immigration status adjustments for same-sex couples. Colin Gaffney has successfully petitioned for Affirmative Application for LGBT Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status for several clients since the Windsor decision.
