Journée was a software company in the Enterprise Information Integration (EII) market. It provided a virtual database that aggregated data on demand into an abstraction layer that could be accessed and transacted upon by multiple applications. The solution did not replicate data, but employed a metadata approach to access data where it lived – on demand. Journee was acquired Initiate Systems who was acquired by IBM.
