In 2020, the pandemic brought isolation and unprecedented challenges. That year, I experienced profound loss with my grandmother's passing in June. Her death triggered deep introspection. Lacking access to therapy, I turned to psychology videos, books, and journaling for support, starting with a gratitude journal. This practice evolved to include journals for grief and daily progress, aiding my reflection and growth.
Confronting past trauma was part of this process, leading to the unraveling of long-held pain. Through reframing my thoughts and accepting my past, I found personal growth and healing. In September 2021, I shared my idea of creating healing journals with my father, who unexpectedly passed in January 2022. His death put the project on hold, but with support, I resumed work in 2022, dedicating the "Grief" journal to him.
In January 2024, I self-published nine journals on Amazon—Healing, Self-Esteem, Anxiety, Dream, Forgiveness, Shadow Work, Gratitude, Tarot, and Grief. Each journal is a tool for healing and self-discovery, reflecting different aspects of the healing process. My website, JournalstoHealing.com, documents this journey, with plans for more journals and a blog. Healing, I've learned, is about navigating emotions healthily and sharing tools for others' healing journeys.
