For Happiness...For Hope...For Hugs
Inspired by an eight-year old girl who loved life and always wanted to help others, Julia’s Grace Foundation helps children with cancer and their families by bringing them happiness, hope and hugs. We are a new non-profit, established in September 2013, shortly after Julia died from a Wilm’s tumor, a type of childhood kidney cancer.
Julia showed us all how to live each day to the fullest, enjoying every moment. She reminded us that “giving someone a hug” would make you happy. Julia’s Grace Foundation keeps her amazing spirit alive by helping children with cancer and their families smile.
Julia’s Grace Foundation offers opportunities for special moments whether at home, in the hospital or at public events and venues to children fighting cancer and their families. We call these “hugs”. We provide oncology clinics items that will help the long days of treatment go a little faster for children with cancer. Julia’s Grace Foundation also grants financial assistance or “graces” to families experiencing financial hardship due to the direct result of a child’s cancer treatment and care.
