Junior Scholars is an independent childcare centre offering exceptional programs and providing flexible, high-quality early education and care to children aged 12 months to 10 years. Programs include Infant and Toddler Care, Junior Kindergarten, Pre-K Daycare, Before & After School Care and Out of School Daycare.
At Junior Scholars we are very proud of providing a wholesome experience that fosters a whole child approach. This encompasses providing nutritious meals and snacks in our full-time programs that are made on-site by our talented Chef.
The Junior Scholars curriculum is a blend a Pre-K theme based curriculum, phonics lessons and emergent curriculum. Every day has prepared lessons which incorporate social and emotional learning, literacy, math and science. Children also engage in planned art, free art, music and movement and free play. This unique blend builds a foundation for future academic and social success and provides a daily structure for the children so they soon learn to anticipate what their day will bring them, reducing anxiety and increasing their academic and social skill set.
Our centres are custom designed to support all areas of our curriculum with functional classrooms to accommodate group and individual learning and beautifully created outdoor play spaces to encourage the development of large motor skills. Children can safely explore their innate curiosity, learn to build relationships, share, treat themselves and each other with respect, and understand classroom rules for safety and order.
At Junior Scholars each child is treated with the individuality they deserve and teachers focus on developmental milestones to help identify strengths and areas of improvement in age-appropriate classrooms. Differently-abled children are welcome and will find Junior Scholars fully accessible.
