The Just Breathe Foundation was established November 1, 2013 and officially became a 501(c)(3) in April 2015. The foundation was inspired by a local woman, Jenna Simonetti, who is diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Dedicated board and committee members, coupled with the inspiration of Jenna, ensured the formation of the Just Breathe Foundation.
The Just Breathe Foundation has taken great strides to accommodate individuals and families in need of financial assistance. In the first year, the foundation helped 12 local families affected by the disease. In the Greater Rochester Area, there are approximately 180 people living with CF.
