Kaarak is a women only organization with all our employees being extremely talented women artisans. Each of our products is either handcrafted, hand knitted, hand quilted or hand knotted, which promotes the “hand done” instead of mechanical mass production.
We focus on ‘winning with purpose’ agenda by reducing carbon footprint. And we try to do this in the following ways –
- We are in a circular business and all our raw materials are upcycled fabrics, yarn, garments.
- All our products are 100% biodegradable with absolutely no usage of chemicals and artificial materials
- All our products are hand made, thus having minimal impact on nature in terms of carbon emission
We really pride ourselves on our traditionally handcrafted products. Kaarak Home is a new destination for home decor products which integrate handcrafted Indian traditions to reflect a contemporary fashion vocabulary. We have visited local artisans in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu to understand how we can blend indigenous craft techniques with contemporary designs to bring aesthetic and affordable products to our neoteric consumers.
Our core value is to provide customer delight with our contemporary home decor products made from upcycled raw materials to minimize environmental impact. We also try to inculcate our rich traditional handicraft knowledge in our products, while protecting the natural environment.
