Originating from a glimpse of inspiration, Kakawa has, and is still becoming a roaring success.
The foundations of Kakawa started in our small, vibrant cottage kitchen, with the idea that one day we’d be the leading brand in the independent chocolate industry.
Many evenings were spent perfecting the ultimate milk chocolate base, which we not only achieved, but smashed!
Word quickly spread about our delicious delights and due to the rapid growth of the business, we moved our entire operation to the rolling countryside of Cheshire, for an ‘extra helping hand’ from friends & family.
A few months past before heading back to Kent and we went from offering 30 products, to over 200! The love for our chocolate continued to grow, and now was time for us to find a larger and more suitable ‘chocolate headquarters’, with further investment to help us keep pace. After months and months of searching for ‘the perfect place’ we found our home, and location for our production facility at Brogdale farm in Kent.
Unlike our competitors, all of our products are handmade to order, using the finest and freshest ingredients, ensuring perfection and maximum satisfaction, every, single, time.
We’re also one of the fairest priced artisan chocolate businesses currently, whilst striving for high quality, top notch product, delivering profound customer satisfaction and phenomenal results, but without charging the earth.
We use cocoa sourced from responsible and sustainable origins, as we know just how important it is, to not only look after our customers and team, but the people who grow and farm the ingredients to enable us to do what we do best. Ensuring the cocoa comes from sustainable sources, is one of the many things we do here at Kakawa, to help keep our planet, as well as biodegradable packaging, correctly sized recyclable boxes, and, as our products are handmade to order, there is a minuscule amount of food waste that leaves our doors.
