Kamakhya is a social enterprise our journey began in 2019 when we set out to create an eco-friendly environment for safe and hygienic periods.
We started with creating a team of doctors, professionals and entrepreneur.
It is indeed common to see that women support each other of their kind. But when it comes to their self-hygiene, women always take a step back. Kamakhya was launched on 12th January, 2020 giving birth to not one but two social products for women - creating a long-lasting and one-stop destination for females, and creating awareness for women’s health, hygiene and environment in India.
We have evolved organically in response to different needs that we’ve recognised, and have also adapted our approach for different cultural contexts as we’ve widened our reach.
