Our firm has been a signatory in the American Institute of Architects’ 2030 Commitment Program since 2011, a voluntary initiative in which members pledge to annually reduce the Predicted Energy Use Intensity of their projects and progress towards producing net zero emission buildings by
the year 2030. We have successfully met the Commitment goals every year since 2018 and achieved greater than an 80% carbon reduction portfolio-wide since 2019.
Kaplan Thompson Architects is the first architecture firm in Maine to receive the JUST label for our commitment to improving social equity in our workplace and the community.
