Karma Animal Foundation is a private, non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in April 2015.
It is spread over 2.3 acres of farmland on Sohna Road, Gurgaon. The facility has the current capacity to house 100 dogs in its 24 built–up well ventilated sheds, each with a sand pit to house 4-5 dogs per shed. In addition we have open playgrounds and large, grassy meshed enclosures for the dogs to spend their day outdoors when the weather is conducive.
KAF’s mission is to help abused, abandoned, injured, orphaned and old canines. KAF strives towards unwavering upkeep of the dogs under their care with compassion & commitment. Most dogs who come to us are victims of human neglect, abuse and ill treatment.
It is only with the help of personal funding, sponsors, virtual parents and volunteers that we run our shelter & overcome our challenges. However, donations are sporadic and inconsistent and hence stems the need for corporate support.
OUR MISSION
• To give urban animals a secure space where their basic needs are met with special care given to the homeless, old, abandoned, abused, injured and disabled.
• To provide a happy and caring environment for animals for them to live a meaningful life.
• To educate & involve people to become sensitive & compassionate towards animals so that they can come forward and unite in their support.
• To create awareness and encourage people to volunteer, rescue, foster, adopt the Indian street dogs and abandoned breeds & sponsor animals.
ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN BY US
Ø Overall rehabilitation of animals in need by providing home cooked food, shelter and medical treatment
Ø Daily feeding and nourishment at the shelter and carrying out street feeding
Ø To provide safe and a secure space for animals who are vulnerable on the streets due to human apathy.
Ø Medical treatment and care for all dogs under our care at the shelter and on the street through regular vet visits
Ø Sterilisation and vaccination of stray dogs
