Two friends, both engineers with different industry experiences but the same passion for smart homes, came together to create a smart home company. Our brand name's 'EE' represents the two engineers behind it. When we first got into this hobby, we followed and read lots of smart home forums, ordering and building custom smart home solutions for ourselves, but we often encountered limitations, especially when it came to finding the right information. In the beginning, as DIY enthusiasts, we found challenging to understand the various smart home protocols and systems. Even now, gathering all the necessary information from different sources to build a smart home can still be a complex task. That’s why, at Katee, we believe that with our help, even skeptics and beginners will be able to understand what kind of devices they need and they will gain the necessary knowledge on how to create their own smart home without having to go through the tough learning process that we did.
