KG headquartered in Emmerich on the Lower Rhine is one of the three largest companies in the German confectionery market with its brands of Katjes, Ahoj-Brause, SALLOS and WICK cough drops. The Katjes brand is seen as a pioneer and trendsetter in the field of vegetarian fruit gums and liquorice. The company avoids using animal gelatin in the manufacture of its products and has converted its entire Katjes range in Germany to vegetarian.
The products are manufactured locally at 3 locations in Germany, and since 2020 the operations all of these sites have been climate-neutral.
