Kawartha Family Business Group (KFBG) was established by local business advisors and local family businesses who recognized the need and the importance of bringing family businesses together – to create an environment to connect, support, inspire and learn.
This collaboration fosters a strong sense of entrepreneurship that is vital for the success of any business. The family business is no different. In fact, one could argue that entrepreneurship is even more important to ensure the family business is viable and sustainable for the next generation.
Discussion topics cover issues relating to the specific needs of family businesses such as succession planning, family communication, tax planning, wealth transfer and so much more. Membership in the group extends to all family members and key employees. Members and affiliates foster awareness and in-depth understanding of what it takes to grow a family business. Literally, hundreds of years of experience is captured in KFBG’s membership.
KFBG offers a series of events each season that we invite you to attend. At each event, one can expect to gain business tips, practical advice and lessons learned from guest speakers and panelists – all of this in an environment that encourages collaboration and networking.
