Kemah Fire Department serves the communities of the City of Kemah, the City of Clear Lake Shores, the Lazy Bend area and the unicorporated parts of North Galveston Counties. The Department provides fire suppression and rescue services, fire prevention and public education, marine fire and rescue, and BLS-MICU medical first responders for the the area district. The Kemah Fire Department is a combination department with both paid and volunteer staff members. In our district , we have two large marinas, numerous hotels, several commerical and retail strip centers and the Kemah Boadwalk. The Kemah Boardwalk is a thirty-five acre waterfront complex with eleven amusement park style rides, a fifty-two room hotel, thirteen retail shops, recreational boating, and eleven restaurants.
