Kent Community Foundation is part of a national network of 47 Community Foundations committed to improving the lives of local people and communities, particularly the most vulnerable, isolated and disadvantaged. We connect generous people, families, and businesses with local causes that make a genuine difference in the community. Since our launch in 2001, we have distributed nearly £60 million to thousands of charities, organisations and individuals across Kent and Medway.
Kent Community Foundation awards grants and loans to groups and individuals in Kent and Medway, with the aim of building strong and vibrant communities throughout the county. Our role as a Community Foundation is to match applications from the community to our donors’ interests.
The majority of our support is to small community and voluntary groups that are undertaking charitable work for the benefit of people in Kent and Medway. You do not have to be a registered charity to apply for a grant; however the work you ask us to support must be legally charitable. Some of our funds also offer support to individuals but this is restricted to very specific situations.
