The role of this steering group is to:
Speak with authority on the current issues facing people in Kent and Medway
Speak with authority on the key issues facing the sector in Kent and Medway
Provide a forum for strategic engagement with statutory and other key partners to help shape future strategy on the key issues facing the people of Kent and Medway
Become a platform for collaboration within the sector
Ensure the actions from the KRF Action Plan are implemented
Become a vehicle to drive funding collaboration amongst private/statutory and other funders
Be flexible enough to respond to emerging need and change membership accordingly
Ensure the voice of small grassroots organisations is heard
Be approachable and proactively reach out to other organisations and forums across Kent and Medway.
Bring ideas to the table that are wider than just its membership.
Represent the issues facing the sector not just those of its members.
