Young artists, Jan Kerekeš and Dina Rain, driven by the exceptional interests of theater and comedy enthusiasts on social media, also inspired by the rich body of work of actor, director, and author Ljubomir Kerekeš, founded the ARTISTIC ORGANIZATION "KEREKESH TEATAR" in February 2014. In January 2019, Jan Kerekeš became the artistic director of Kerekesh Teatar, after having been the executive producer (volunteer) since its inception, alongside Ljubomir Kerekeš. Currently in our repertoire, we have twelve teather plays for adults and two for children and young audiences. Ljubomir and Jan Kerekeš are the authors of most of the texts for our plays, and Ljubomir Kerekeš is the director of most of them. We also organize the “Tjedan Smijeha” festival in Varaždin, which became the most attended Croatian theater festival in 2016 and attracts a growing audience every year. Furthermore, we organize theater events such as “Ljeto na Šoderici,” “Ljeto u Doljnjoj stubici,” “Ljeto na Bajerima,” “Ljeto na Aquacityu,” “Smešne Toplice,” "Theater Program at Špancirfest," and “Dani smijeha” in Zagreb, Čakovec, Samobor, Prelog, Karlovac, Virovitica, Dugo Selo, Križevci, Rijeka, and Kotoriba. We also arrange a summer tour along the Adriatic coast with more than 10 performances, and every year, we play and organize over 250 performances throughout Croatia.
