KiC foundation heeft als missie om kinderen die ernstig in hun ontwikkeling worden bedreigd doordat zij getraumatiseerd zijn geraakt, of dreigen te raken, in het contact met een van hun (gezaghebbende) ouders, een stem te geven en ze te begeleiden, zowel sociaal-emotioneel, als juridisch. We willen dit vaak onzichtbare leed zichtbaar maken.
Het is onze ambitie om binnen het huidige systeem een bredere kijk te laten ontstaan op het gebied van omgang en gezag. Om dit te bereiken doen we onderzoek, om de verschillende groepen beter in kaart te krijgen, en vooral om een beter beeld te krijgen welke beleidsveranderingen er nodig zijn om ze beter te helpen.
