KiwiSpace Foundation (formerly New Zealand Space Foundation) is an organisation founded to help New Zealand get into Space.
Our goals include:
- Promote awareness of space-related organisations, industry and education programmes
- Develop/aid development of education curriculum for use by schools
- Promote New Zealand-related space news/events – to inspire the public about space and the developing industry
- Advocate to the government to form a Space Policy and to increase representation in international space discussions
- Potentially work with government or ministries to ensure that appropriate laws exist for the protection of the public, but also clear and appropriate legislation/rules/processes to allow a space industry to develop in NZ
- Run Awards / Competitions / Prize-Rewards to stimulate and recognise success in this area
It is open to people residing in New Zealand, or NZ citizens based abroad.
