Koala Cloth was founded in the summer of 2015 by three undergraduate college students from southern New Hampshire. The brand set out to differentiate from the normal, blending East Coast prep style with elements of the diverse and active New England life. The three students, Alvaro and Cooper, wanted a shirt that could be worn for any occasion - formal enough to wear to a party, casual enough to be worn to the beach, comfortable enough to be worn hiking, and fun enough to stand out a backyard barbecue.
Koala Cloth is a company built by individuals for individuals, in the most literal sense of the word. Each founder brings a different personality to the company, and they recognize and design to fit the differing personalities of buyers. The company's motto, "climb your own tree," reinforces the belief that each person has their own goals, and brings something new to the world. Koala Cloth wants them to look good doing whatever it is they do.
The brand began with their signature long-sleeved pocket shirt, "the Original," designed to be worn with the sleeves rolled up, and a custom-placed pocket. They are quickly expanding, and will include a variety of products in line with the lifestyle for which Koala Cloth was created.
