Kobe City University of Foreign Studies was founded in 1946.
KCUFS offers undergraduate and graduate-degree programs in English, Russian, Chinese and Spanish studies, as well as International Relations.
The current university enrollment is approximately 2,000.
The university offers an accredited student exchange programmes through arrangements with about 45 universities and institutions of all over the world.
KCUFS has the aim of cultivating the "active cosmopolitan" who can participate in carious disciplines,including business diplomacy, education and research by utilizing the advanced foreign language skills which are needed to effectively function in an international society.
