St. Carolus Krankenhaus Görlitz Overview
Das St. Carolus Krankenhaus wurde 1927 eröffnet und gehört seit 2021 zur Gesellschaft für Gesundheit und Versorgung Sachsen (GGS) - ein Unternehmen der Hospital Management Group mit Standorten in Görlitz, Sachsen. Das St. Carolus Krankenhaus verfügt über 120 Betten in den Fachabteilungen Innere Medizin, Urologie und Chirurgie und Anästhesie und Intensivmedizin und betreibt außerdem ein Allgemeinärztliches und ein Chirurgisches Medizinisches Versorgungszentrum (MVZ) sowie ein stationäres Schlaflabor. Das Krankenhaus wurde im Jahr 2020 als erstes gesamtes Krankenhaus von der Stiftung Silviahemmet als "Demenzsensibles Krankenhaus St. Carolus" zertifiziert. Alle Mitarbeiter im Haus wurden geschult. Damit ist die die notwendige Kompetenz im gesamten Krankenhaus und bei allen dort tätigen Berufsgruppen vorhanden. Weiterhin ist das Krankenhaus baulich und organisatorisch auf die Bedürfnisse von an Demenzerkrankten Patienten ausgerichtet.
