Through the positive intrinsic nature of people, volunteers have devoted their time to mitigate the risk of COVID-19 exposure to the local Kupuna. By having an intricate communication and database management system, Kupuna & Kokua operates as a 100% volunteer based organization. While K&K continues to develop and improve their scope, the main tools to support Kupuna are identified below:
1) Volunteer Pairs - personal volunteers paired with a Kupuna to assist them with the benefits offered through our program and partner programs.
2) Face Masks - offer free face masks for any Kupuna part of the organization.
3) Delivery Services - volunteers sign up to provide food, grocery, or other delivery needs to kupuna to minimize the exposure of the coronavirus.
