The Department of Labor Studies was founded in 1964. It is the only university department in Israel devoted to the teaching and to the study of labor. The Department is composed of outstanding researchers both internationally and in Israel. Their articles and books are published in leading international and Israeli venues. The courses in the Department combine both the theory and the practice of the world of work. The faculty members in the Department research and study labor through a variety of disciplines: labor relations, sociology, economics, law, history and psychology.
